The next match is to be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. MI VS SRH: MUMBAI INDIANS VS SUN RISERS HYDERABAD IPL 2018 23rd T20 MATCH PROBABLE PLAYING 11 PREDICTION.
Another final-over defeat for Mumbai, this time against Rajasthan Royals. Game after that where the famed death bowlers faltered. Then next game where the middle order didn’t live up to its reputation and the international stars didn’t take responsibility. After the strong start given by Kishan and Yadav, Rohit ran himself out while the Pandya brothers and Pollard flopped again. The bowlers managed to make it close, but Bumrah and Mustafizur were pedestrian towards the death. Mumbai have a lot of thinking to do after yet another setback.
Meanwhile, after the successful start to their season, Sunrisers’ bowling has underperformed in the last two games. Rashid has gone for 1-55 and 1-49 in them while Dhawan has been sorely missed. Williamson has stepped up but has been unable to steer them over the line. The lack of support from Pandey and Saha’s insipid batting will also be a worry for them.
With a disappointing form , Mumbai Indians are going to do their best to win this one. Playing on home ground might help the team’s morale. Skipper Rohit Sharma will have to buck up the players and make some serious changes in their playing style to counter Sunrise Hyderabad, who have the edge with the success of their last face-off on 12th April. With just 2 points earned so far and 4 out 5 losses, Rohit Sharma & team are in dire need of a good gameplay.
Despite having a powerful camp of Batsmen and bowlers, Mumbai Indians for some reason are finding it hard to get a grip on their fallout.
After Rajasthan Royal’s mowed them with a 3 wickets victory, Mumbai Indians must reevaluate their individual form. Hard-work of Suryakumar Yadav, who smashed a fantastic score of 72 in just 47 balls with three 6s and 6 fours, went down the drain as Mumabi Indians lost to Rajasthan Royals in their last face off. Ishan Kishan and Kieron Pollard were the only two other batsmen who scored runs for MI while rest of the lineup came crashing like a pack of cards including skipper Rohit Sharma, whose duck wicket was big jolt to the wreckage. Kieron Pollard is struggling to perform and could find himself sidelined by the captain for next match.
Bowling line for Mumbai Indians was not as disappointing as the batting, but it didn’t help much in terms of pulling the team out of the mess. As expected Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandaya took 2 wickets each while rest of the lineup manged to grab one wicket each with exception of Mayank Markande who didn’t get more than 2 overs to perform. Mustafizur Rahman and Markande, like Suryakuamr Yadav, performed their best with a spell of 3 wickets and wickets each against Mumbai yet the team failed to get the game in their pocket.
Skipper failed to perform against Sunrisers with 11 runs and a duck in his last game against Royals, which is being seen as a major flaw in the team’s strength. After skipper failed as an opener against Sunrisers he moved down in lineup but that isn’t helping much either. Team order has been moved around with a hope of forming a new strategy. Players like Mayank Markande, Mustafizur Rahman and Suryakumar Yadav have what it takes to get Mumbai Indians a good break. Kieron Pollard is struggling to perform and could find himself sidelined by the captain for next match.
Mumbai Indians Squad: Ishan Kishan (wk), Rohit Sharma (c), Suryakumar Yadav, Evin Lewis, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Mitchell McClenaghan, Mayank Markande, Jasprit Bumrah, Mustafizur Rahman, Rahul Chahar, Saurabh Tiwary, Ben Cutting, Pradeep Sangwan, Jean-Paul Duminy, Tajinder Singh, Sharad Lumba, Siddhesh Lad, Aditya Tare, Akila Dananjaya, Anukul Roy, Mohsin Khan, MD Nidheesh, Adam Milne
SUN RISERS HYDERABAD
With 3 out of 5 victories, Sunrisers Hyderabad despite slip in ranking are holding on to a decent spot on the team standings as they sit on 4th place with 6 points just next to KKR. After their last victorious face off with Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad would now be looking forward to play another good game against the opponent with a rocky form. Yet Sunrisers Hyderabad would not be taking this match lightly after their recent slip in rankings.
Skipper Kane Williamson has been lucky be in form along with a good batting and balling lineup to support him.
Skipper Kane Williamson was caught and bowled at 6 runs in their last match against Mumbai Indians, his form has been good this IPL. His 84 in 51 balls in the last match against Super Kings cannot be ignored. Shikar Dhawan too has been a great support to the skipper with his form. Dhawan’s 45 out of 28 against Mumbai Indians was a fine gameplay leading to the 1 Run victory. Players like Saha, Pathan and Hooda proved good combination against Mumbai Indians. Small and individual contribution by each one was the reason Sunrisers thrashed Mumbai Indians even their next to brilliant batting and bowling. All rounder Shakib Al Hasan is too contributing with his batting and bowling, he is either scoring runs or grabbing wickets.
Bowling line up for Sunrisers Hyderabad might have failed to shine against Super Kings in the last game, but Bhuvneshwar Kumar is going stable and strong. In the standing against Mumbai Indians in terms of bowling, Sandeep Sharma, Billy Stanlake, Siddarth Kaul each took 2 wickets each while rest of the bowling line up Rashid Khan and Shakib Al Hasan too grabbed one wicket each.
Sunrisers are holding 4th place in the standings and have 3 victories in their pockets but their recent fall against Kings XI and Super Kings has proven them costly with a quick slip in their ranking. Shikar Dhwan, Shakib Hasan & Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Captain Williamson are strong pillars and if they manged to perform individually, Sunrisers Hyderabad could repeat their victory of the 12th April Match against MI.
SunRisersHyderabad Squad: Kane Williamson (c), Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Shikhar Dhawan, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Shakib Al Hasan, Yusuf Pathan, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Billy Stanlake, Siddarth Kaul, Ricky Bhui, Alex Hales, Carlos Brathwaite, Chris Jordan, Mohammad Nabi, T Natarajan, Basil Thampi, K Khaleel Ahmed, Sandeep Sharma, Sachin Baby, Tanmay Agarwal, Shreevats Goswami, Bipul Sharma, Mehdi Hasan
